She fills the room with her smile, her energy, and that voice.
Leora Glasgow is American multi-hyphenate creative and storyteller based in Seville, Spain. Her musical foray began at a young age, recording herself singing along to her vocal superheroines. However, it wasn’t until much later she began formal vocal training. Equally versed in pop, soul, blues and musical theater, Ms Glasgow co-founded and currently fronts the jazz-soul band Eye of Ra, and the Not Yo’ Mama’s Blues band. She has written and starred in 3 short, one-woman shows and sung background vocals for CME recording artist Manuel Lombo on Yo and for Rose Records recording artist and musical theater extraordinaire Gerónimo Rauch (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom of the Opera) on Chapter One: con la música de Frank Wildhorn.
With over 10 years’ performing experience, Leora knows the importance of having a deep understanding of her instrument and craft. Leora recently received her Level 1 Certification from The Singing Athlete, which is a vocal training method that integrates neuroscience, athletic training and vocal performance created by Andrew Byrne. Leora aims to help singers, including herself, find vocal freedom in their singing while developing and nourishing their overall artistry. A passionate champion of diversity, equity and inclusion, which can be heard, seen, and felt throughout all of Leora’s artistic work.
Leora’s guiding principle is to find the inner truth of a thing and bring it forward to share with the world. Keep up with Leora: Instagram - @leorasings2023 / leorasings@gmail.com
