Further Information:

Irena Seyarto-Hernandez is a soprano and vocal educator with over 30 years of experience in vocal performance and instruction. She is a vocal instructor at Sheridan College; where she works with singers across a wide range of levels and styles.
She holds a Master of Arts in Music (Vocal Performance) and an Honours Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance). Her training bridges classical and contemporary pedagogies and includes Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) coursework from Shenandoah University; New York Vocal Coaching; Seth Riggs–based training; Wolf Studio; Tom Burke; and The Singing Athlete™; integrating voice training with neuroscience; anatomy; and movement.
Hernandez teaches an evidence-based; coordination-first; neurologically informed approach to CCM; helping singers build sustainable technique by addressing the underlying systems of voice production before shaping sound or style.

She is passionate about continuing to grow as a pedagogue and about helping performers who want to understand how to have healthy; versatile; and expressive performances.
